I am 23 years old and have two small children. My youngest is two and I have just now, finally, got myself in gear and am trying very hard to lose weight.
I am a stay at home mom, no babysitters, and my husband works 60 hours a week. My exercise routine at the moment is a strict 30 minutes a day at least 5 days a week.
Sometimes I get up early in the morning, before everyone wakes up, and go for a 30 minute walk. And other days I do 3 – 10 minute workouts throughout the day. I don’t have transportation during the day and I cook every meal here.
I have to cook different things for my husband because he doesn’t eat the healthy stuff I fix. For example, today I have had a bowl of 5 grain oatmeal with honey and blueberries and grapes for a snack.
We have a tight budget for food and it is hard to keep food for them and healthy food for myself, especially considering the cost of healthy food is more expensive.
I want to lose at least 50 or 60 pounds, I am currently 200 pounds and the lowest weight I have been to was 130 pounds. What are some good exercise tips and maybe some healthy snacks and meals to fix on a budget?

Hi Anna, congrats for your kids
and for your desire to live healthy. Living healthy doesn’t cost too much and you can lose weight without breaking your budget.
The whole grain snack you eat is not good when you try to lose weight. You need to eat food that is low in carbohydrates and fat.
Here is an example for a die plan, please try it for a week and let me know how you feel.
Breakfast: 3 boiled eggs with salt. A glass of water.
Snack: 10 oz plain low fat yogurt. A glass of water.
Lunch: 10 oz grilled chicken breasts and large Garden salad. A glass of water.
Snack: 6 oz pastrami beef of pork. A glass of water.
Dinner: Grilled fish (salmon, trout, cod) and large Salad. A glass of water.
You have 5 meals during the day so you will be full all the day and not feel hunger at any time.
For exercise, please do 2 of my exercise videos 5 times per week.
You should lose some pounds (5) after the first week. Please let me know how many pounds you lose.
