in Ab exercises, Workout Videos

Today I have for you workout with 7 tummy flattening exercises that boost your metabolism not only during the workout but after it too.

Before reading below, please promise to your self to press the play button below and do this video no matter where you are, no matter what you are doing. Time, place, motivation, busy – these are all excuses and procrastination.

Look inside you and find strength to do just 5 minutes of exercise, it is just 5minutes of your new life to better you. And leave me comment how you feel your tummy after the workout :-)

You can download the above video and 20 more exercise videos if you become a member of “Wake up Lean”, this is my private exercise program, check the list of videos you get and pics of people who already lost weight.

If you want flat tummy, you need to do exercises for buttocks, thighs, chest and back muscles – exercises for major muscles are tummy flattening exercises. It may sound strange, but the truth is that you need exercises that spend lot energy while doing them and these are exercises for major muscles.

Using major muscles boost your metabolism for a long period after the workout, but it must be intense workout, you must push yourself to the maximum (as the exercise is the last thing you do in your life), give everything in the workout, don’t save energy and strength, throw them all in your workout and you will start to see progress sooner.

The other thing about flat tummy is food. Exercises alone will not bring flat stomach. I mean that you will not experience as fast results as you want just exercising. Exercises change your body inside and outside but it is a long run, and it needs devotion.

Food is difficult topic (for me it is not, but I see your frustration). How and what you eat has direct relation to your tummy. If you eat real, fresh food this is good for your stomach and health. Real food is food that you can eat fresh or you need only to bake it or boil it.

The list is very simple but with lot of variations within the bullets:
/if you can buy organic/

Veggies
Fruit
Meat, fish
Eggs
Milk, yogurt
Nuts and seeds
Spices

And you can eat all variations in above bullets, there are enormous choices. Try in every your meal to include one of the above foods.

Okay, tell me if you want to discuss in details how to eat to have flat tummy and sexy body :-)

Love you Rumi. your workouts are just awesome. m really enjoying them

Rumi February 17, 2011 at 6:14 am

Trish, check diet section, there are lots of plans to follow.

Manal, only you can tell this, try easy and light and see, or ask your doctor to confirm, but the best evaluation is how you feel.

sree February 17, 2011 at 9:28 am

Hai…Rumi…
I just had my baby 3 months ago through a c section. I had a very very big baby. And now I have lots of skin around my stomach. I want to get rid of this but I’m a bit afraid of the stitches. Is it safe for me to do your schedules? Because I’m really interested in your workouts…

Rumi February 17, 2011 at 9:41 am

Sree, only you know how you feel, how can I know if you are able or not to do exercises. Please read the text after the video, because you need to follow a diet plan too.

aditi February 17, 2011 at 9:45 am

i liked these tummy flattening exercises. it was fun doing them, it was like reliving our childhood , being active and doing exercises without knowing them just by chasing butterflies, jumping fences, frog races, etc. some of them were a little difficult specially that one side turning one but i liked the challenge.
thanks for posting these exercises. good day.

im am a teen whose been struggling with being overweight. these realley helped. do you have a work out routine to lose weight in 2 months?

Angel February 23, 2011 at 9:28 am

Hi guys

I have always been kind of skinny with athletic type of body but with difficulty to lose weight once past 30…what happens at that age I am not sure. At some point getting some green tea concentrates helped. Lately this did not work. However, I decided to start working every day 5 days a week doing all sorts of things. What helps to really lose weight even if you have hard time is not eating late at night (maybe a fruit or yogurt). I personally do not eat after 6pm and also drink juice or milk with psyllium. Psyllium comes from a plant and helps clean the colon while providing fiber. You should try it. I lost 6-7 pounds in about a month and half with the above combination. Try it and let me know how it works. I have lost a lot of tummy bloating because of psyllium and my appetite is down

sara February 23, 2011 at 10:20 am

hi!!! im nt able to download the video’s. As im now member.

sally February 24, 2011 at 10:18 am

Hey! tell me what are the effects after the exercise because after doing this i was not able to sleep the whole night.
can we drink water in between the exercise?

Rumi February 24, 2011 at 7:30 pm

Sally, exercise energize and for weight loss it is good to do them in the morning on empty stomach, also you get energy for the day. I can workout at night too and can sleep well. You can drink couple of sips in between exercises, but not too much because you feel the water while jumping.

Stephanie February 27, 2011 at 5:59 pm

Hi Rumi!
I am 19 years old and have been on a two year weight loss journey. I have already lost around 50 lbs and I’m now stuck on the last ten I’m currently 154 lbs and would like to go down to at least 140 lbs. My biggest issue is stomach rolls/fat as well as back fat and love handles I have a photo shoot in 2months, near the end of april and I’m pretty sure I’ve got the eating part down but if you have input on that as well that’d be great. What I really want to know is if these excersise really work and will get me the results I REALLY want and need as well as when and how often I should be doing them and which ones for which days. If you could help me lose the weight and tone up in the next two months I would be SOOOOOOOOOO greatful you have no idea! So your help with toning and losing weight and maybe sharing success stories and pictures would be amazing! Thanks so much hope to hear from you soon! :)

Rumi February 27, 2011 at 6:10 pm

Stephanie, last pounds are hardest to lose. The key is in eating. I know you think you eat right but it is science how to eat to cut the last pounds. My advice is to go to Diet section of this site and follow Protein diet. Combine this diet with any of my workout videos and you will see results. Don’t do just one video every day, because body adapts and exercises stop work, that’s why I have so many exercise videos and I do different exercises every day. Another thing about stomach fat – you burn it via exercises for thighs, buttocks, chest and back – these are major muscles and they burn more energy compared to doing just abdominal exercises. When you do tummy exercises you build tummy muscles and pull energy from your energy source (which i snot your stomach), so do exercises for major muscles in order to burn more energy and when there is energy deficit your body starts to pull it from fat and you can’t control where you burn fat from. The only thing you can control is your eating and doing exercises 5 times per week, have 2 rest days, but have long walks in these rest days. Hope this answer your question (I know it is not what you expected, but this is the way body works).

Zee March 1, 2011 at 11:49 am

Hey Rumi :) I have recently found your site and I am really glad I stumbled upon it. I’ve decided to start doing your exercise routines and I’ve done them for the past week now (Well, actually 5 days from the past week). I have some questions though. 1. You say that for all(or most) routines, it is best to do 3-4 sets. My question is, do they have to be consecutive 3-4 sets or can I do them say… a set or 2 in the morning and another set or 2 later in the day?
2. You said it is good to change exercises because your body gets used to them…how often should they be changed? And for example, the inner thigh exercise video says you can see results after a week of doing those. Does that mean I must do these and not change them for a week? Just a little confused here as to what’s the best way to do routines and see results asap :)
3. And I wish to ask about the diet. I am currently in university and since I am Bulgarian as well, maybe you know how inconvenient the schedules can be here. I’d like some reccommendation as to what food I ought to eat, considering I don’t have time to cook and sometimes I don’t even have time to eat at around the same hours during the day.
4. Also, I’d like to ask about the best choice of vegetables during Winter, because at the moment, vegetables are …well, the Bulgarian term would be “GMO”, so I wonder if they even contain the needed vitamins and so on at the moment?
5. And, lastly, I am currently 61kg and I hope I can burn fat around the belly and the legs (hoping I can achieve that in the next 3-4 months…summer is coming!) I’d gladly accept reccommendations for exercise routines from you, if possible. Kind of new to exercises still, since I have been lazy until now. Thank you in advance :)

Rumi March 1, 2011 at 12:35 pm

Здравей Zee, nice to see Bulgarian reading my site :) Straight to your questions:

1. It is best to do consecutive 3-4 sets and if you want to speed up weight loss, than do 1 workout (3 sets) in the morning and 1 workout (3 sets) in the evening.

2. You should do different exercise video every day, so change videos daily. Yes you can do one video for a week or even a month but the effect slows down gradually, because your body tends to adapt. You can do inner thigh video every day, but it is better to change, or you can do different video at morning and the same video at night (I also have favorite routines and sometimes I like to repeat them in order to perfect my form).

3. You need to follow a diet plan, check diet section in this site to know which foods to include, this is a long topic.

4. I eat all types of vegetables available currently in Bulgaria, I don’t believe it is GMO, they may contain artificial additives to grow during the summer, but I hope they have control about the dose. Currently I eat tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, avocado, broccoli, zucchini, onions.

5. I don’t understand your last question, I have many exercise routines, alternate them daily.

Andrea March 2, 2011 at 3:40 pm

Rumi, im am so excited and happy that i found this website because i really didnt have the money to join the gym . I cant wait to see the results because i am not tryin to be size 15 on my 23rd b-day thanks again.

Simi March 3, 2011 at 7:52 am

Dear Rumi,

After my 2nd delivery my belly skin became very loose. Does any of the workout help to tighten / tone. Also please advise what kind of workout I may do as I have thyroid and I am gaining weight.

Thanks.

Rumi March 3, 2011 at 8:10 am

Simi, belly skin is difficult to tighten, it is related to skin elasticity and exercises have small influence on this. I have Hashimoto (hypothyroid) and my daily workouts help me to not gain weight, but since I have this I need to watch what I eat, I eat very clean, only natural food, no dough, no sugar, no fry food. Do all my exercise videos, because variety helps to boost metabolism and immunity (thyroid).

charlize March 3, 2011 at 11:40 am

hi rumi my name is charlize im 21 years old and been doing your exercises for a week now.j ust a litle favor can you make this video downloadable so i can do it anywhere cause i don’t havet internet connection when i have business trips. thankyou so much rumi this is so helpful :)

Rumi March 3, 2011 at 11:43 am

Charlize, this video (and 25 more videos) is for download for my paid customers only, but free youtube preview is available of the first set only.

charlize March 5, 2011 at 5:15 am

oh i see rumi but thank you anyway il try to do this and watch this everytime then, and one more question. what do i have to do if i only want to lose arm fats? i dont want to have muscles in my arms i just want to make it slimmer what exercises should i do then? is your arm work out good for slimmening arms? thanks a lot i love you rumi :D

Rumi March 5, 2011 at 6:43 am

charlize, you need to do total body workouts, if you read what I write before and after the video it is explained that this is the only way to lose weight on any body part.

kajli March 7, 2011 at 7:30 am

hi Rumi

I have recently going on with a thyroid disease commonly in women

which have increse my body weight 7to 8 kgs . Is their any special areobics

exercise for thyroid patients . Tell me please

Rumi March 7, 2011 at 8:06 am

kajli, I am with Hashimoto (hypothyroid) and you can see what exercises I do. Or in other words do one of my videos 5 times per week. Alternate all my videos in order to not give a chance your body to adapt. We need to constantly challenge our body in order to have results. Also to lose weight you need to follow a diet plan, chose one form diet section above.

Ronda March 8, 2011 at 2:12 am

Taran April 25, 2011 at 5:41 pm

hello rumi…..i am trying to loose weight and get a flat tummy. I did your above workout yesterday and today my thighs are a bit sore. I am going to keep doing this workout everyday other than on weekends, is it a good decision if i am a bit sore in my thighs and shoulders? and can I do your tummy flattening workout in the morning and do your Belly Fat workout in the evening? or would it be too much to do everyday? please help me here

Rumi April 26, 2011 at 6:45 am

Taran, you can combine my videos on your wish, all videos are full body workouts. Workout 5 days in a week and have to 2 following days rest, so your body has time to recover. Example – workout Monday-Friday and rest during the weekends.

Taran April 26, 2011 at 5:21 pm

Thanks Rumi….
