Recumbent Exercise Bikes - LifeGear Magnetic Recumbent Bike

“All in all, for the money, this is a great bike. I have had it for a month now and I am very pleased with it.

Like other reviewers, the assembly was not the best experience because the instructions are horrible. However, I knew this from the other reviews, so my expectiations were properly set, and I was sure to read all the reviews for assembly tips. I put the bike together in about an hour.

The bike is very quite, and works well. The resistance works well for a bike in this price range (its not super challenging, but certainly adds to your workout).

My only complaint is that at 5'10" I can just barely use the bike comfortably, however I am willing to deal with it for the price. Anyone taller than 5'10" may want to consider another bike.

The back cushion is not very comfortable, but like another reviewer said, it is nothting that a small pillow can't handle. All in all, I am very glad I got the bike and would buy it again at this price.”

“I recently purchased this recumbant style exercise bike largely because of the reviews it received and the price. I have not been disappointed. The bike is extremely quiet and I find the seat very comfortable. I have had lower back problems and the seat is very supportive. I also love being able to hold a book while I pedal and the monitor screen is low and unobtrusive. It is very easy to change the resistance. I had read various reviews about the assembly but my husband put it together in about an hour with no additional tools than what it came with. I am very pleased with this bike and many who have been at my house and tried it are also impressed and talk about getting one.”

“I purchased this product 2 weeks ago and am enjoying it. Considering the relative low cost it works very well and was fairly easy to put together.
I noted in an earlier review that the monitor stopped working, staying only in scan mode and this also happened to me, but after taking the batteries out and putting them back in it worked properly again.

I give the product 4 stars because compared to the more expensive models one pretty much gets the same workout minus the bells and whistles. It is quiet and gives and excellent work out, and I couldn't ask for more for this kind of money.

The only con is the cheapness of the monitor and lack of a weight entry which makes the calories burned and heart monitoring a bit inaccurate. It also lacks an rpm monitor to calculate watts generated which most calorie calculators use to determine calories burned.

Still for the price, it seems well built and despite the cheapness of the monitor in comparison to more expensive models I'd recommend it to anyone not willing to spend over 200 dollars for a stationary bike.”

“The bike took about an hour and a half to unpack, organize parts and put together. Overall it works very well. I'm 5'3 and the bike has many comfortable length settings that work well for me. My husband however is 5'11 and believes the bike to be slightly too small length-wise for him, although he still manages to use it. One problem I faced is the monitor which shows different statistics as I ride. After a month or so it stopped working properly. It now only shows me scan mode, the button no longer allows me to flip to view individual modes, particularly my heart rate. I'm not sure if the wiring is to blame or what but I have no means of fixing it myself. Even so, I don't rely on the monitor too much except to see how long I've been working out, which I can still do. The tension settings have a nice wide range also, which is nice if you want to switch it up during a work out. Overall I really enjoy working out on this bike and have been motivated to workout more often because of it.”

“I received this a few weeks ago and am very happy with the bike. It has 12 preset programs and measures HR, calories, distance, and time. This took me about 2 hours to put together by myself and I have been using it daily.”
