My battle against my stubborn body weight

by Sarah
(Nashville, TN)

summer of 08

Name: Sarah
Weight: its a revolving number: in a week I fluctuate between 140 and 150, Lord knows why.
Age: 28
Height: 5'2
Desired weight loss: approximately 30 pounds or so.

So here is my story:
I went on birth control at 115lbs, gained 21lbs. Went off birth control, got pregnant lost weight, by D-day I weighed 150. I lost most of the weight within the first few weeks until my son was six weeks old.

That's when the battle began. I gained all my weight back plus 10 more. I was 160lbs. My mother did the same thing when she was pregnant, so I followed up with the dr thinking I had a hormone imbalance, but I was told to give it time.

I've had my thyroid tested more times than necessary. But to no avail. I eat very healthy, as organic and as natural as possible. I don't over eat. I don't eat very much sugar.

So from an eating perspective I shouldn't be overweight. Plus chasing after my child, among other children (my job), I shouldn't weigh as much. But I do.

Do I work out? I chase children for a living, enjoy walks when the weather is nice, but a gym, no.

I'm a single mom who wakes up at 5am and doesn't get to stop until my now 4 year old son is in bed at 8pm. My only method of working out at this point is from a dvd, if I can muster up the energy.

In the 4 year battle, I have finally lost a pant size, which just 2 weeks ago went back up to my size 10 with no logical explanation.

Before I had my child, I didn't have to do anything to lose weight, just a walk or two, or a skipped meal would do the trick...or revert back to my eating disorder (which by the way I have been free from for almost 10 years.)

So I think I deserve the free dvd's!!!! Help me!
Sarah.
