Hi my name is Amber, I weigh in at a whopping 171 kg, I am trying to lose weight but I don’t know where to start, I want to build muscle so I can burn fat better and cope with my weight, I also want to lose all the weight of course, at 17 I weighed in at a huge 120 kg, and it has just gotten worse over the years now I find myself at 24, in tears and weighing so much.

Anyway, my problem is that I can’t do a lot of the exercises that people say to do, I don’t want to go to surgery, I want to do this for me, I am so determined, but where to start so I can finally have a life.

Can you give me some ideas, I have an Exercycle that I use, and I have a very physical job on a farm feeding calves.

But I don’t know maybe I am kidding myself, but I saw a show about the biggest people in Britain, and I saw me by the time I am 30, if I am still alive. Please if you could help me at all.

Hi Amber, you wrote very touching letter and I can feel your frustration and want to admit that you are very brave to share with us your story.

I want to tell you a story about a man that I met recently who had scheduled tummy tuck surgery but knowing that he has nothing to lose tried one of mine diets. The results is that a week after he changed his nutrition, he lost 5 kilos. Than he postponed the surgery with a week, he continued to lose weight. Two month later he weights 18 kg less and he continues to lose weight every week. When he started the diet his weight was 150 kg.

It is really simple (but not easy) to lose weight; the key is in your nutrition. You can’t lose weight doing exercises; the only way to lose weight is with a diet plan. I don’t mean to stop eating, nooo, you will eat 4-5 times per day but only foods that are allowed.

Try for a week Protein diet and let me know the results.

The main principle is that you can eat as much as you want, many times per day but only from the following list of foods:

  • Lean meat – grilled or boiled – veal, turkey, chicken.
  • Poultry.
  • Diary food – milk, low fat cottage and yogurt, no cheese because there are different types and some of them are very fat.
  • Sea food – grilled or boiled – fish, lobster, shrimps, mussel.
  • White eggs – boiled or grilled. Limit yolks to 1 per day.
  • Fresh vegetables prepared on salad without sauce and without dressing!!!

Amber, you can eat all you want from the list above, and you can eat it 3 or 4 or even 8 times per day, there is no limitation on number of servings per day. The only limitation is to stick to the list with allowed foods.

Try this for a week and write here using the comments what you achieve.

Hope this helps,
Rumi
