in Q&A

Hi Rumi, I am 25 years old and am 5 ft tall and weigh around 72 kilos…yes I know I am overweight! :-) As unbelievable as it may sound…I didn’t realize the weight creeping on until I saw this really unflattering photo of mine recently. I am getting engaged in three weeks and want to look my best…

Beautiful bride

I have begun working out for 2 hours a day (1 hour in the morning and 1 in the evening). I try and do 3 of your videos in the morning and I walk on the treadmill for 60 mins in the evening. I am also trying to keep my diet as low carb and healthy as possible.

1) Can you please tell me if I’m taking the right approach? Will I lose enough weight in 3 weeks to look my best? :-(

2) How much weight should I target losing in such a short span of 3 weeks?

3) How much should I be working out to lose the maximum amount of weight?

4) Is there any diet I should follow?

5) My wedding will be in 2 months from today…how much weight do you think it will be possible for me to reduce in that span? (Even if I don’t lose a lot of weight I want to look toned and slim in my wedding gown… :-))

Please do help me Rumi…

Thank you for this excellent website. I find your website refreshingly honest and sincere. My compliments to you!

With best wishes!

Answer from Rumi

Hi,

Congrats for your coming engagement and wedding, I am sure you will look slim and toned in your wedding gown.

You are doing well with exercises – 2 hours per day is more than enough time. Morning exercises and evening cardio is the best approach to quickly lose weight.

Here is a powerful bride diet, for urgent occasions like yours. A friend of mine lost 15 pounds during the first week, usually during the first week you lose most of the weight, than it slows down to 2 pounds per week.

If you like try the diet and report here the results.

Wish you unforgettable wedding, you will look gorgeous!

All the best,
Rumi
