Excellent Denise Austin Workout Video

I enjoy Denise Austin's style of instruction, as she is always very motivational and perky. This workout focuses on the problem areas for women, such as abs, arms, thighs, buns, and even "bra fat zones". I didn't expect the workout to be as challenging as it was, but I worked up a sweat even though it is toning and not cardio exercise.
The first segment is a good stretch and then 20 minutes of toning for the female fat zones. The second segment uses the stability ball, which is the main reason I purchased the dvd. I found the exercises to be challenging (but fun), although I am a beginner with the ball - therefore for someone more advanced they may be easy.
The ab section on the ball was killer - even though I do 10 minutes of abs everyday. I think doing them on the ball, adds an extra challenge that my muscles aren't used to. Overall, I would highly recommend this dvd!

Finally a workout I can get through without stopping! I have really sensitive knees and usually have to skip the portions of the workout that focus on the legs due to LONG sets for each exercise. Denise does a great job of doing a realistic set (8-10 reps) for most of the exercises, as well as continually alternating the focus of the exercises to the legs, arms and abs.
Another great feature of this workout is the use of the stability ball. It gives your body support for balance and adds a new challenge to the traditional workout. I LOVE doing sit ups using that ball as it really supports my lower back.
I also like the fact that if I am limited on time I can choose to complete one of the 20 minute sessions (just hit "skip" on your dvd remote to quickly get to the second one). It is the first workout program I have owned that I truly "like" and actually enjoy doing.
I have been using it for about month and have already noticed numerous changes to the areas of my body that this workout focuses on. I am going to buy a few more of her workout DVDs for additional variety to my workout, but will continue to use this one as a FANTASTIC core body workout.

This workout is really great -- it doesn't take a lot of time, it's not overly difficult and it's just plain fun; especially with the balance ball. This is a great muscle building workout to be used on alternate days; in between your aerobics routines -- b/c it's not aerobic at all and if you want to burn fat, you need to get your heart pumping! This is a fantastic workout though -- I actually look forward to doing this one!

I have a entire cabinet of exercise videos and I can say this one is my favorite! I have been using this DVD for 6 weeks, 2-3 times a week. I walk/jog on the other days to get my cardio. This DVD is not too hard, nor too easy. I still find it challenging after 6 weeks.
I look and feel more toned - more so than with any other DVD I've tried. My boyfriend has even noticed the results! Yes, Denise is on the chatty side, but she moves from one exercise to the next while explaining so you're always moving.
There's not all the annoying lapses as with other videos. I also bought her Pilates DVD, but haven't tried it yet because I love this one so much. It was by far the best $$ I have ever spent on an exercise video.

I think that this is great for beginners and intermediates. The moves are at a moderate pace, and things are explained well. I think it creates a great burn without over exerting, and you can feel it the next day. It is also low impact, so I can do this with my bad knee joints and all.
I definetley have to alternate it with something else though. The tape also says it is 2 complete 20 min workouts, but they are actually two sections of a workout run together wiout a break in between.
